Teria: My tip of the week is actually a tip that I gave during Bootcamp.  But a couple of my coaching students just over the last two weeks had been asking me about “are these Facebook pictures?”, so you’re marketing your properties on Facebook, and Facebook is a free platform, a great place to market and there are some new ones there. But how many pictures do I need to post, what if I ran out of pictures, how do I navigate the pictures? Two tips: one is to go out to google and maybe google your county, and find pictures of the area. When you’re posting on Facebook you don’t necessarily have to have pictures of the actual property. I mean, that works but you can also post pictures of that area as long as you are clear in the body of your ad. So go out, be creative, find pictures of the area, and post. Just be honest from where you get the pictures from.

This is how we are going to scale in life. Raise other people’s money, other people’s time and that’s how you scale.

Some people are good at it, some are scared of it so check out this book The Psychology of Money: Timeless Lessons on Wealth, Greed and Happiness by Morgan Housel. Scott: Loom.com is one tip of the week, but there’s another one that is also good for a tip of the week. You may have to be a MAC user for this, there’s an app called Session (stayinsession.com). This is an app for time management, it’s kind of a Pomodoro tool that enables you to segment your day. Let’s say you have something on your priority list like county research and you need to sit down and spend or focus time on county research for 25 minutes today. When you go to your timer you can block out all the other apps on your computer. Type in county research, set your timer for 25 minutes, and there you go, you can focus time. You can segment your day and at the end of the day, you can see where you spent your time. It does integrate with your calendars as well.

Scott: Check out this book called How I Built This: The Unexpected Paths of Success from the World’s Most Inspiring Entrepreneurs by Guy Raz. Basically, they look at different entrepreneurs and talk about how they grew into success.

Stephen: If you’re looking to get the real philosophy of Passive Income, there is no better book than The Millionaire Fastlane by M. J. DeMarco. It’s an excellent book, it’s well worth to read especially for the business model and your listeners involved. There are great stuffs in there like becoming a producer or consumer, a lot of people producing not consuming. There’s a great philosophy for building up a business, in whatever businesses you’re in. The idea of the book is to build up your business and get on the line then have more capital and cut them from these boring investments that can be very passive. I highly recommend it.

The free versions will give you three goals and three habits that you can track, the paid one, which is $5 a month, $30 a year, or there’s a lifetime for $80.

Teria: My tip of the week was going to be dud. My problem was getting spammy emails or just being on the list that I never subscribed to, so I was trying to find a good unsubscribe software that could go through and help me without having to unsubscribe individually with each one, and I found one. It worked well, for maybe 3 or 4 I was trying to unsubscribe, and after that, the fees started adding up for each time I want to unsubscribe. That was my dilemma, that was going to be my tip because the first was like, this is great, I don’t have to worry about all of these emails and click, click, click; I can just unsubscribe with one button. But I don’t want to pay a ton of money for it.

Erik: It’s been a while since I’ve gone through that process, but last time I did,  I believe I used a service called unroll.me. That allowed me to go through and unsubscribe from a bunch of stuff, I don’t remember having to pay for it, I don’t know if that has changed. But maybe it can help!

Mark: Mine is, hey.com. They have a thing called screener, if you have a subscription that you don’t want you can screen them out and you’ll never see them again. In fact, you can subscribe to a million things and you can see what it is, and then you can just scream them out. Super easy, super simple. It’s $99 a year. I think it’s well worth it.
